- How can we bring our own liberation stories to the Seder table this year?
- What texts and rituals can we renew or add to our celebration?

Our Speakers
Rabbi Reuben Zellman (Credit Ina Fried)
Rabbi Reuben Zellman (he/they) is an author, rabbi, and musician. The first openly transgender person accepted to the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, he was ordained there in 2010. In addition to teaching and writing about trans issues and Judaism, Zellman is on the staff at San Francisco’s Congregation Sha’ar Zahav and the faculty of the Community Music Center, where he conducts New Voices Bay Area, a chorus for transgender, intersex, and genderqueer singers.
Rabbi Ariel Tovlev
Rabbi Ariel Tovlev (he/they) is a poet, public speaker, and educator who has taught across the United States on gender beyond the binary in Judaism. His original liturgy has been published in Mishkan Ga’avah: Where Pride Dwells and he is currently writing a trans theology.
Rabbi Yoel Kahn (Credit Shoey Sindel)
Rabbi Yoel Kahn, Ph.D. (he/him), is the Interim Coordinator of the CLGS Jewish Roundtable. Kahn was ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, New York, in 1985 and later received his Ph.D. from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. He served as Rabbi of Congregation Sha’ar Zahav, San Francisco’s GLBT outreach synagogue, from 1985 to 1996, and recently retired as Senior Rabbi of Congregation Beth El in Berkeley. He has spoken and published widely about liberal Jewish decision-making, Judaism and sexuality, homosexuality, and the history of Jewish liturgy.
