Join us for this CLGS Lavender Lunch with Pierre-Jessica Ratcliff Soul (PJ – she/her and he) for a reading of poetry from her recently published bookFrom Jail to Joy, a raw and healing collection that explores trauma, survival, addiction recovery, faith, and self-reclamation.

Written from lived experience, these poems speak to the moments when everything falls apart—and the quiet power that rises in its wake.

  • What if your breakdown wasn’t the end—but the beginning of your spiritual awakening?
  • What if the pain you thought would destroy you was actually shaping you into something stronger, deeper, and more whole?

This is a journey through:

  • healing from trauma and emotional pain
  • addiction recovery and the path to sobriety
  • faith, spirituality, and inner awakening
  • identity, love, and self-acceptance
  • queer healing and reclaiming voice and truth

These poems are for the ones who have been broken open by life—but are still becoming.

Come join us for this exploration of From Jail to Joy – a testimony of survival, transformation, and spiritual rebirth!
