This November the election is on everyone’s mind. It should be with things like the ‘Rainbow Wave’ of LGBTQ candidates and self-described Nazis and white supremacists running for office. When you are an outwardly identifiable Jewish person and queer as a three dollar bill, one might find oneself thinking, “How will this election affect us and our families?” We will explore the answer to this question and many more on November 1st at 7 pm with “Queer Jews Voting.”

Martin Rawlings-Fein is a Jewish, bisexual, trans father of two and an educator with over two decades of experience working with both adults and children on the evolving nature of gender identity. He the former education director at the Beit Sefer Phyllis Mintzer school at Sha’ar Zahav and has served on the LGBT Advisory Committee for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission and the Pedestrian Safety Advisory Committee with the SFMTA. Martin is currently running for one of three open seats on the San Francisco Board of Education in this years election.
