Everyone is Welcome to Join a Virtual Celebration of Queer Freedom at The Community Pride Seder!
Pride Seder is a ritual that chronicles the liberation of LGBTQ people, much like the Passover Seder, which retells the story of the liberation of the Jewish people. If you’d like to volunteer by serving as a breakout groups facilitator, contact Michael Chertok.
Traditionally, each year, members of Sha’ar Zahav, an LGBTQ synagogue in San Francisco, come together to celebrate our emancipation from oppression, to commemorate our freedom, and to re-commit to our activism remembering that none of us are free until all of us are free. This year it will be a virtual event, co-organized with Federation and JCRC, welcoming the entire community to join us in this celebration, including Mayors London Breed of San Francisco and Libby Schaaf of Oakland.
