In July the Jewish Roundtable of CLGS hosted a Summit for LGBTQ Jewish clergy on Confronting Trumpism.  Forty spiritual leaders gathered for plenaries, workshops and worship.  The rabbis and cantors were a diverse group: ranging in age from their twenties to their eighties; serving in academia, varying sized congregations, and social justice organizations; differently abled; from all denominations; and gender inclusive.

Topics included “Theology in an Era of White Supremacy,” “Social Ethics for Social Media,” “Queering Jewish Texts,” “Interrupting Hate in Public Spaces, “Speaking with Orthodox Jews,” “Resilience and Activism,” and “Talking about Israel/Palestine.”  The JRT will publish these topics and others as one-page best practice guides in the form of a strategic blueprint for queer Jewish clergy and allies.
